Introducing Door to Door Organics (and a giveaway!)

Fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs are easily one of my favorite things about summer. I may not be a fancy chef, but I can make a mean meal provided I have fresh produce and protein on hand. That’s why Tuesdays are quickly becoming my favorite day to arrive home from work.

Why? Tuesdays are when my Ohio Door to Door Organics order is delivered to my doorstep! Not only is this convenient and fun, no one likes fighting the after work crowd at the grocery store. Am I right?

This is the first time I’ve had a food delivery service so I have nothing to judge Door to Door against, but I was thoroughly impressed that all the meat I have ordered has arrived completely frozen in a foam cooler with ice packs and dry ice. Additionally, the fruits and vegetables have been fresh, crisp and cool when I’ve opened the boxes.

I LOVE D2D! Started following them on social media as soon as they came to Ohio!. While there are more organic options in ohio during the summer, the pickings can sometimes be slim at the grocery store during the winter. Knowing that we have a regular supply of things we like and that we don’t necessarily have to go out to a germy store is the best. And the quality is great!

I’m excited to see a service like this – I like that fact that you can get salmon delivered right to your doorstep!! *Following you and D2D on Twitter!

our experience with them was less than great, but maybe it was just a fluke. At least they were kind enough to refund us and we’re going to give them another go, but getting rubbery “fresh” organic produce, bruised apples, and meat dated 2 months ago really made me think twice about continuing my subscription. Maybe I was just one person to get the crappier stuff. I sure hope so.

I saw them distributing on West 25th a few weeks back and have been meaning to order from them! The seedless watermelon and organic mixed apples would be the first thing I would order!
