I blinked & it was all over

And just like that, my 13-day holiday break came to an end. For the last few weeks of 2012, I truly felt like a college student home on Christmas break. The last time I had 13 days off of work? Probably never! It was most likely before I started my first big girl job.

The […]

A weekend to remember

This past weekend was full of celebrations. From welcoming two of our best friend’s baby into the world, to a Browns victory & a reunion with a college buddy, the good times were rolling!

On Friday night, I joined my co-workers at The Blind Pig for a super cheap happy hour ($3 Christmas Ale drafts!) […]

We’ve been busy…really busy!

The past month or so has been hectic to say the least. Hectic in a good way though. As we got the house ready for our first Thanksgiving, we installed a new feature wall, had new windows and siding installed, detailed our office and cleaned the house with a fine-toothed comb (call me a party-cleaner).

A late weekend recap

I know it’s Thursday, but I couldn’t forego posting about this past weekend just because of a power outage, lack of internet, down electrical lines & trees and all around mayhem caused by Frankenstorm. The weekend was just too much fun to sweep under the rug.

It kicked off Saturday evening at the Marriott in […]

She’s Alana and she’s a beauty queen

If you don’t know who Honey Boo-Boo is by now, you’re living under a rock. I was familiar with the Boo-Boo because we’re lucky enough to share the same name (and many of my friends/family are sure to remind me of that on the regular!), she graces the cover of many magazines and happens to […]

Oktoberfest at Put-in-Bay via The Miller Ferry

The Lake Erie islands are one of my favorite staycations in Cleveland during the warm, summer months. This season, we only made one trip up to Catawba and Kelley’s Island. As a kid, my parents would take the family up to the islands and as an adult, I found myself heading up to Put-in-Bay mostly […]

Another Sunday Funday goes down the tubes

After missing the Browns season/home opener, I wasn’t going to be missing Game 3 vs. The Bills. We got pretty lucky as 2 2nd row tickets wound up in my hands Friday night. What kind of Browns fan would I be to pass these up?!

Since I cleaned closets, drank wine, shopped and relaxed […]

We eat well

This past weekend was filled with food. A lot of delicious, belly-busting, food. It all started on Friday night when we made our first visit to Bruno’s in Cleveland. Wow, this place was worth the calories. The ambiance is very old school Italian and the service was top-notch. Don’t go to Bruno’s unless you are […]

The first time in 8 years, I skipped the home opener

It’s true. This Browns fan didn’t have tickets to Sunday’s home opener, so instead we threw a house party in celebration of my dad’s birthday. As I drove across the city to pick up my mom and their dog, I said to myself: ‘Is this really what people do on Sundays in Cleveland?’ There were […]

Can we reweind to Memorial Day, please??
